Refund & Cancellation Policy
Varumo plans are one-time payments for a fixed duration. Here's exactly when refunds are available and how to ask.
Effective: 2026-05-06
The short version
- Full refund within 7 days of payment if you've never published a public site under that plan.
- Pro-rata refund within 30 days if you accidentally bought the wrong duration (e.g., bought a year, only wanted a month).
- No refund after 30 days, unless we caused the issue (e.g., the service was significantly broken during your event).
1. What you can refund
Full refund — 7 days
If you bought a plan and changed your mind within 7 days andthe site has not yet been viewed by guests under that paid plan, you can ask for a full refund. We'll refund the entire payment to the original method via Razorpay.
Pro-rata refund — 30 days
If you bought the wrong plan duration (say, a year instead of three months) and you tell us within 30 days, we'll refund the difference between what you paid and what the shorter plan would have cost. We switch your site to the shorter plan and refund the rest.
Service-failure refund
If our service was substantially unavailable on or near your event date — meaning your guests couldn't load your invitation when they needed to — email us and we'll work it out. Depending on the impact, we'll refund part or all of what you paid for that plan period.
2. What you can't refund
- Plans where the site has already been live for 30+ days.
- Custom-domain add-ons after the domain has been connected (we paid setup costs upstream).
- Any payment where the customer asked their bank to chargeback before contacting us — let us help you first; chargebacks take longer than refunds.
- Plans where the underlying issue is something we can fix (a broken template, a typo, a feature you wish existed) — tell us first; refunds aren't a substitute for support.
3. How to ask for a refund
Email info@varumo.com with:
- The email on your Varumo account.
- The Razorpay transaction ID (from the receipt email — looks like
pay_…). - One sentence on why.
We respond within 1 business day to acknowledge.
4. How long the refund takes
Once we approve a refund, we issue it through Razorpay immediately. Razorpay then takes 5–7 business days to land in your card / UPI / bank account, depending on which method you used. Card refunds are usually fastest; net-banking can be slower.
5. Cancellations vs refunds
Cancellation = stop my plan from auto-renewing. We don't auto-renew anything. Every paid plan is a one-time payment for a fixed duration. When the duration ends, the site enters a 15-day grace window, then is permanently deleted unless you renew. Nothing happens to your bank account in the meantime.
6. Disputes
If we can't agree on a refund and you're in India, the matter falls under the consumer-protection mechanisms of the Consumer Protection Act 2019. We'd much rather just talk it out via email — refunds for a ₹499–₹2,499 plan aren't worth either of our time in court.
7. Contact
info@varumo.com — please put "refund" in the subject so we don't lose it.
